It can seem surprising, but spuds were the first vegetable to grow in space. It's totally amazing! Seed potatoes were tested for the first time in space aboard the Space Shuttle Columbia during the year 1995. It was for a partnership between the University of Wisconsin and NASA. Later, in 2004, NASA used a Chinese technique to create the ultimate chamber-grown potato. It's clearly, the most badass vegetable on Earth. This incredible spud achieved more than most people in their entire lives. This potato is  really brave. It should be an inspiration to all of us. Potatoes are still alive, when we buy them. They are still living in spite of the fact they have been harvested, but they are in a dormant state. Chips were invented by a mistake. They have been invented by the chef  George Crum in 1853. Cornelius Vanderbilt, a railroad mogul, like to eat at Cary Moon's Lake House in Saratoga, New York. One day, Vanderbilt sent back to the kitchen the thick-cut potatoes in his
