German Potatoes

Germany has a great culture and is a good place to visit. Of course, one of the best things to do in this wonderful country is to eat German potatoes. Germans eat tons of them every year, whether they are baked, sliced or fried.
There is a few facts to know about spuds in Germany:

Per year, in Germany, a person eats 60-65 kilograms of spuds in average.
Potato first arrived in this country only in 1630.
Potato salad is well-liked and there are different versions of this wonderful dish.
We can't talk about potatoes without mentionning chips. Chips are not native from Germany but some flavor choices are, like salt, paprika, currywurst, ketchup, mayonnaise and even the African sauce chakalaka. I would like to go in Germany to eat sauce chakalaka chips.
